Lessons

Length of Lessons:

Short lecture 15 to 20 minutes
Catch and tack up. 15 to 20 min. for beginners, 10 min. for intermediates
Lesson: Approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour
Cool out: 10 minutes
Remove tack, groom and put away: 15 minutes

 

Lessons will include the following:

Safe horse handling, proper halter/bridling, loading/tying, grooming, and tacking up (saddle pad/saddle placement). Care and storage of equiptment/tack.
Mounting/Dismounting
Reins/bits and proper usage
Warm up exercise for horse and rider
Learn to walk, trot, canter proper leads and halt
Written materials

 

Training Pricing:

30 Days $550.00 Teaching voice commands (walk, trot, canter and whoa), both on and off lunge line. Basic headset, saddling, bridling, hobbling (when deemed necessary) tying, heading & trailing. Learning to give to the bit. Basic ground work.
60 Days $600.00 Same as above with light riding. Walking and trotting with saddle.
90 Days $600.00 Light riding. Walk, trot and canter. Learning basic maneuvers (side passing, backing, etc.)
120 Days $600.00 Working on a headset, neck reining, smooth transitions and correct leads.

*The above is based on the horse's ability and time allowed per day (1 hour X 5 days). Rates include boarding.


Each horse takes to training differently, Trainer will work with each horse as an individual. Should Trainer feel that the horse is not capable of learning in the allotted time and/or is too agressive, Trainer has the option of taking horse out of training, returning unused portion of money to date being pro-rated from the starting date of each month. Should Owner arbitrarily pull said horse out of training, training fees will not be refunded and all other fees will be paid before said horse is removed from property. Any damages done by said horse (ex: tearing down fences/gates, chewing, or to another horse, etc.) will be paid for by Owner.

All horse sare to be picked on final day of training or a charge of $8.00 will be added for each additional day.
All Vet, Farrier, Hauling fees will be due at time of services (unless other arrangement are made between Trainer/Owner).
Trainer recommends that the Owner spend time learing how Trainer works with said horse.
